Naion and Viagra
When my eyeproblems appeared in 2006 I immediately consulted the PubMed database and concluded based on
the articles I found that I must have a Naion. (I am a journalist so the visit of this DB is normal procedure). The Naion-diagnose was (a lot) later confirmed by an ophthalmologist at
Louvain university. While digging in the PubMed database I also found that Naion like problems manifested
themselves in men that had taken Viagra (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=naion+sildenafil&filter=years.2000...).
I had never taken Viagra, I was not suffering from erectile problems (though I was considering using it for recreational purposes). I visited many doctors in those years and always assured them that I hadnt taken Viagra, but it took three years before the first doctor reacted that he knew about it.
Anyway: now I do have erectile problems, and whats even 'worse' is that love is newly blooming in my life. So I want to solve this.
I am aware of the many products available on the market, but sofar none seems a good solution. I sort of invented a solution when I asked myself whether stenting (angioplasty) the artery that is supposed to fill the corpora cavernosa in the penis (the A.Pudenda) could not be opened the same way as is done in the coronary arteries. This is done on a very small scale elsewhere, with preliminary reports about success. I have contacted an academic medical centre and they were positively surprised and we will explore this further.
Meanwhile it is clear that Viagra is related to Naion, though the risk is small https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28923561/.
My question is however: is anything known about what happens when men that already have a Naion take Viagra? Does it get worse? Anyone any experiences?
